‘Women Should Embrace Each Other’ – Cde Nhambu-Kaseke

ZANU PF Central Committee Member and Women’s League National Secretary for External Relations Cde Betty Nhambu-Kaseke says there is a need for women across the African continent to embrace each other to improve their lives.

On Africa Day, the continent celebrates the dynamic and diverse continent and the contributions of Africans to our world. The continent’s young and growing population, its rich natural resources, breathtaking beauty and cultural diversity give it outsize potential.

Nhambu-Kaseke currently in China attending Party Business on Diplomatic and Foreign Affairs Management told Digital Telegraph that it’s now high time that women need to work together despite coming from different backgrounds.

‘’The women of Africa while coming from diverse backgrounds face similar or common challenges. As we commemorate this year’s Africa Day, l urge women on the African continent and all Zimbabwean women to rally behind each other, remain resolute and continue to play an active role in the pursuit of Agenda 2063 and Vision 2030 back home.

‘’Women must take advantage of the regional integration mechanisms such as the Africa Continental Free Trade Area for various empowerment and business opportunities for trade and investment for the benefit of their business endeavours.

‘’In the context of my country, as young women, we appreciate the policies being spearheaded by President Emmerson Mnangagwa in the National Development Strategy 1 on women’s participation in the economy across all sectors.

‘’There are now more women in decision-making positions, growing women’s Incomes and equal opportunities for women,’’ Nhambu-Kaseke said.
