…As social media taunts him, calling him a “beggar”

Bishop Cuthbert Nyaruvenda, the president of the Zimbabwe National Practitioners Association (ZINPA), an association which represents the interests of apostolic faith healers, midwives and herbalists, is adamant that what he said about Chivhayo “is nothing but the truth.”

This follows the abuse that the apostolic sect leader suffered at the hands of social media users after he appeared in a video in which he said Chivhayo is a hard worker who doesn’t use juju.

The leader of the Sangano Dzvene Revapostori said contrary to what many detractors say, Chivhayo is not a thief but a legitimate businessman.

Bishop Nyaruvenda also sang praises for President Mnangagwa for the construction of the iconic Trabablas Interchange.

Bishop Nyaruvenda’s video ignited a flurry of mostly negative comments from social media users.

He was labelled a liar, beggar and not of the Soko Mukanya totem.

The apostolic sect leader is standing by his initial utterances.

“Let me repeat what I said previously. Chivhayo is a hard worker, a person who does not use juju and he is definitely not a thief.”

“I am not bothered by the social media abuses. Idle and jealous people will always speak against those that work hard and succeed,” Bishop Nyaruvenda said.
