The Zimbabwe Accountants International (ZAI) has partnered with Diaspora Insurance to provide its members with bespoke funeral insurance products and services.
Diaspora Insurance, a UK-based risk solutions firm, aims to enhance financial security for more than a thousand accounting professionals worldwide through this partnership.
Established in 2022, ZAI has successfully secured over 1,200 members from various regions, including South Africa, Dubai, Australia, Canada, the USA, and the UK.
The organization offers “an inclusive space for Zimbabwean accountants to learn from one another, stay updated on industry trends, and access global opportunities in the accounting field.”
The funeral services available to ZAI members ensure that they have immediate access to financial relief during times of bereavement, eliminating the need to borrow from friends or family.
“The partnership between ZAI and Diaspora Insurance is significant as it provides members with access to tailored insurance solutions, ensuring financial security for families abroad,” said ZAI President Nico Chitsa.
“This collaboration strengthens the support network for the diaspora, addressing key needs such as life cover and repatriation.”
Edwin Tsvere, Channels Director at Diaspora Insurance, emphasized that partnering with a group of professionals like ZAI instills confidence in their services.
“I sincerely appeal to like-minded or structured groups to emulate what ZAI has done. Besides guaranteeing ZAI members the peace of mind they deserve, this partnership offers a host of additional benefits, including revenue streams, discounted rates, financial risk transfer, increased member loyalty, suitability of cover, and good value for money,” he added.
Based in Birmingham, UK, Diaspora Insurance specializes in designing, marketing, and distributing insurance products and risk management solutions targeted at expatriates and diasporans.
Registered with the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), the company now offers its unique funeral cash plan and group schemes to 19 African nationalities living and working in developed markets across the UK, Australia, the European Union, and North America.
