Andby Makururu, the leader of Johanne The Fifth of Africa, has received a prestigious religious award from Palestine, making him the second individual in Africa to be recognized with this honor.

Now regarded as a commander by the Palestinian people, Makururu has made history as the second African recipient of this distinguished award.

The Palestinian ambassador to Zimbabwe, Tamer Almassri, presented the award to Makururu yesterday, praising his solidarity with Palestine.

Almassri noted that the award represents the highest recognition within the religious sphere.

Makururu expressed his profound joy upon receiving the award. “I am deeply honored to receive such a prestigious award from Palestine. This award is bestowed upon leaders who have demonstrated significant contributions,” he stated.

Makururu also extended his gratitude to President Emmerson Mnangagwa for upholding religious freedom.

“I wish to thank President Emmerson Mnangagwa for his commitment to enforcing freedom of worship in the nation. President Mnangagwa has consistently supported us as religious leaders,” he said.

“As the second recipient of this award, it is evident that divine favor is at work. My recent meeting with President Daniel Chapo of Mozambique, followed by today’s meeting with the ambassador of Palestine, indicates the significance of my work.”

Makururu reiterated his commitment to supporting the people of Palestine.

“We will continue to pray for the country. This award underscores our support for the Palestinian people who are enduring genocide at the hands of Israel.”
