Former Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) chief executive Karikoga Kaseke has died.
He was 62.
The sexagenarian and ex-military colonel Kaseke died at a local hospital in Harare where he was receiving medical treatment, his wife Irene Kaseke revealed.
Kaseke retired as the tourism body CE in July 2021, after a long period of indisposition. He was seconded to become ZTA chief executive in 2005, replacing Walter Kanhanga. Before joining ZTA, Kaseke was CEO of the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe and at one point he was the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Transport.
