The inaugural Smart Zimbabwe Conference and Expo scheduled for the end of this month will boost Government’s ‘Smart City’ initiative as stakeholders in the sector will explore sustainable solutions that will transform the country into a hub of economic growth.
The two day expo slated for the Harare Showgrounds will discuss a number of issues aimed at shaping the future of smart innovations, renewable energy and sustainability.
The conference will also discuss the pathway to sustainable development, innovative and smart solutions for Zimbabwe.
Organised by Zimshop.Net Investment, the event will attract players in urban development, technology, energy and sustainability who will deliberate on sustainable solutions for transforming urban areas into thriving cities.
In a statement, Zimshop.net Investment events coordinator Mr Rufaro Nyadembera said the event seeks to focus on essential pillars of the Smart Zimbabwe Masterplan.
“The Smart Zimbabwe Conference and Expo is a premier event that aims to shape the future of smart innovations, renewable energy and sustainability in Zimbabwe by creating a platform for dialogue on sustainable, innovative and smart solutions for Zimbabwe,” he said.
Mr Nyadembera said the event will be an opportunity for companies to contribute to the policy framework guiding the Smart Zimbabwe Masterplan and create investment opportunities.
“Participating in Smart Zimbabwe Conference and Expo will offer unique value for companies by providing access to decision makers, government leaders and industry experts.
“Companies will have a platform to engage with government officials and industry regulators, influencing the national agenda on development of a smart Zimbabwe,” he said.
