GALNET Construction director Eng Galdencia Sigauke has scooped the national award for her trailblazing contribution towards the country’s development.
The glitz event was hosted by Excellence in Leadership from the Zimbabwe Institute of Management on Wednesday in Harare.
Galnet Construction is a renowned company which has embarked on several national projects including the Melfort Smart City Plan, the rehabilitation of the country’s highways in line with the government’s National Development Strategy (NDS1) and Vision 2030.
Sigauke is a Civil Engineer by profession, she holds a Bachelor of commerce honours degree in business management, Civil Engineering Technician Certification and a postgraduate certificate in Project Management.
In an interview with Digital Telegraph after being awarded the accolade, Sigauke said she appreciates the recognition she is getting because they uphold high standards of professionalism in the construction sector.
‘’I’m humbled, I would like to thank the organising team for receiving this award as a woman in construction, this a testament that the work we are doing as Zimbabweans is being noticed locally and beyond. This accolade is for all the hardworking women of this country.
“From the contractors’ point of view, we appreciate it and as Galnet we are going to work together with the government in all national infrastructure development programmes in line with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision to attain an upper middle-income society by 2030.
