Ranger Challenge Key in Conservation Awareness

The Wildlife Ranger Challenge, held over the weekend in Hwange, served as a platform for raising awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation and supporting ranger livelihoods.

This annual event, supported by Better Brands and Nyaradzo, aims to raise funds and awareness for the crucial work of rangers in protecting Zimbabwe’s wildlife heritage. Participants came from various countries, including Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

During the event, Better Brands Petroleum Managing Director Mr Mike Mangondoza emphasized that supporting conservation efforts is part of their corporate social responsibility.

“We believe in giving back to the community and supporting initiatives that promote conservation and sustainability.

“The Ranger Challenge aligns with our values, and we’re proud to contribute to the important work of wildlife rangers,” said Mr Mangondoza.

Nyaradzo Executive Assistant to the CEO Mr Nigel Mataranyika added that their organization recognizes the significance of preserving the country’s natural resources for future generations.

“Supporting the Ranger Challenge demonstrates our commitment to conservation and community development.

“We are proud to be part of this initiative and look forward to continuing our support for conservation efforts in Zimbabwe. Together, we can make a difference and ensure the beauty of Zimbabwe’s wildlife is preserved for generations to come,” said Mr Mataranyika.

Mr Ronald Sibanda, Marketing and Communications Manager at Painted Dog Conservation, commended the companies partnering for conservation efforts.

“The Ranger Challenge would not have been possible without the support of Better Brands and Nyaradzo.

“Their contributions have made a significant impact, and we’re grateful for their commitment to conservation,” he said.
